This week, I had the opportunity to attend the Gartner CSO & Sales Leader Conference, in Las Vegas, NV—an epicenter of bold ideas and transformative sales innovation. Among hundreds of thought leaders, practitioners, and technology vendors, one theme rose above all: we are officially in the AI Agent era.
Here are my top 5 takeaways from the event, what they mean for the future of sales, and how your team can capitalize on them right now.
AI Agents are everywhere—and I mean everywhere. Every vendor is touting their flavor of an AI Sales Assistant with some boasting 15, 20, even 50 different agents for discrete tasks. But does more really mean better?
From what I saw at Gartner, the proliferation of agents is creating more confusion than clarity. Buyers are struggling to distinguish between an agent that acts like a teammate and one that’s just a glorified workflow tool.
At Vivun, we believe in one AI Sales Assistant with deep context, not a Frankenstein of isolated bots.
That’s the bar we’ve set. And judging by the reaction to our demo, it’s exactly what revenue leaders have been waiting for.
I had the privilege of co-presenting with our CEO, Matt Darrow, in a standing-room-only session titled: “How an AI Sales Agent Can Eliminate the Biggest Bottlenecks in Your Sales Process.”
With over 75 sales leaders in attendance on a Tuesday afternoon, we delivered practical, real-world applications of how AI can move deals forward—not just generate noise.
The feedback was immediate and powerful, with one attendee making a point to tell me that this is the first time in 18 months that he’s seen an AI Agent that delivers on his vision.
That’s what we call mission accomplished.
Forget the badge scans. The most valuable part of any conference is the conversations that linger—and we had hundreds of them.
From CROs to Enablement to Sales Ops leaders, everyone was asking the same thing:
“How can we gain a real competitive advantage from AI—without overwhelming our teams?”
Big shoutout to Clay Killgore, our Sr. Solution Engineer, who powered through non-stop demos with Michael Jordan flu-game level energy and showed what an AI Sales Agent can do in action.
As part of our More Power to Sales campaign, I had the pleasure of interviewing a dozen leaders for our Unexpected Lever podcast. These were authentic, unfiltered conversations about:
Raw, real, and coming soon. Stay tuned.
No great summit experience is complete without a great crew. Victoria Myers and Lindsay Morton are part of the best marketing team in the world, Clay is a beast, Trevor Jett is the closer, and Matt Darrow is the straw that stirs the drink.
This is the team you want at an event like this. The collaboration, energy, and camaraderie reminded me of why we do this in the first place.
We’ll be back next year—bigger, better, and bolder.
Matt and I are going to host our Gartner session live as a webinar on Thursday, June 5.
